Try the Riedle difference next time you visit Helina Mare's and see if you agree that a glass truly can enhance wine drinking experience.

Riedle Fine Crystal Glasswear

"The finest glasses for both technical and hedonistic purposes are those made by Riedel. The effect of these glasses on fine wine is profound. I cannot emphasize enough what a difference they make." (Quote: Robert M. Parker, Jr. The Wine Advocate)

"The Riedel family has never stamped its name on a single bottle of wine. But over the past 50 years, this Austrian clan of master glassmakers has done more to enhance the oenophile's pleasure than almost any winemaking dynasty". (Quote: TIME MAGAZINE)

Claus Riedel was the first person in the long history of the glass to design its shape according to the character of the wine. He is thus the inventor of the functional wine glass. Gerard Bertrand was born and raised in the South of France. Making wine with his father, Georges, since the age of 10, Gerard Bertrand offers the full range and diversity of wines from the region – red, white, rose, varietal, appellation, estate, still, sparkling, and dessert.

Every wine evokes the image and emotions from the South of France; "Art de Vivre" – the "art of life." Committed to producing quality wines of great value, Gerard is hands on in every facet which bears his name… and has been fortunate to receive great accolades from World Wide press reinforcing his dedication.

"It gives me great pleasure to present our wines, all designed with one single purpose - to share with you our passion for Art de Vivre."

Happy New Year!!! Celebrating with a Rose'

Happy 2017 --- Celebrating the 1st day of the new year with a succulent prawn cocktail and broiled lobster dinner.  I chose the Gerard Bertrand 2015 "Cotes de Roses" Languedoc (Rose of Syrah & Granache) to accompany my feast and what a great choice it was!  Beautiful color, delicate nose and elegant flavors of citrus that highlighted and complimented the seafood perfectly.  Fresh, rounded finish made this wine a delight to pair with the meal as well as a stand alone afternoon sipper.  I will definatly be featuring this beautiful wine at the wine bar...AND the bottle is gorgeous with it's etched rose as the bottle's punt and glass stopper.  A must try and won't go wrong with this rose'.
